project goals
Student Voices of Injustice is not a one-time, reactionary project that ends when the conversations do. With this project, we want to work with students to create real, actionable change at UVA. Ultimately, we want students to be heard during the decision-making process and hope this initiative allows for long-term change. We aim to do so with a number of achievable goals.
short term goals
With this project, we want to incorporate actionable and achievable steps that can keep the project both relevant and sustainable. Our short-term goals encompass the progress we hope to achieve during the beginning stages of our work.
Mid term goals
Our midterm goals highlight the direct impact of our initial goals. These signal the continued work we are doing to generate discussion around a need for change on and around UVA Grounds. These efforts will propels to the change we seek to achieve in the future.
Note: This committee should work with the Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion to continue collecting, analyzing, and sharing data.
Long Term Goals
We envision Student Voice of Injustice as a catalyst for long-lasting structures of equity-centered change for marginalized students, faculty, staff and community members in and around UVA. We hope to reach, leverage and support more communities and, therefore, more voices impacted by systems of injustice.
